Privacy policy

This is a plain-language summary. We collect the minimum needed to run the service.

What we collect

• Session data — your chosen nickname, gender, and age. Held in your browser and on our servers for the lifetime of your session.
• Messages — public room messages are stored so others joining the room can see recent history, and are automatically deleted after 24 hours. Private messages are kept only where one of the parties has a registered account.
• IP address — recorded when you join a room or send a message, for abuse prevention, security, and to meet our obligations as an intermediary under Indian law (including the CERT-In Directions of 28 April 2022). Retained for 180 days, then automatically deleted.
• Device information — your browser's user-agent string, stored alongside the above for the same 180-day period.
• Cookies — only essential cookies (session). No third-party trackers. Our analytics are self-hosted and do not use cookies.

How long we keep it

• Public room messages: 24 hours.
• IP addresses and device information: 180 days, then deleted automatically.
• Account details, if you register: until you ask us to delete them.

We may disclose retained information where we are legally required to, such as in response to a lawful order from a court or authorised government agency.

What we don't do

• No selling of data to third parties.
• No requirement of email, phone, or real-name signup.
